PMDG Shares 737-700 Trailer for Microsoft Flight Simulator

PMDG Simulations, an eminent developer, released a five-minute trailer showcasing the Boeing 737-700 for MSFS on their YouTube page. As one of the most anticipated MSFS addons, the trailer gives an insight into some of the features to be incorporated into the aircraft. As the aircraft is still in development, the video does not represent the final version of the addon.

The video begins with an exterior view of the 737-700 at a stand in Santos Dumont Airport (SBRJ). A choice such as Santos Dumont may not be random, as its 1300m runways offers a great challenge for departure. Also visible is the 737 in its iconic PMDG livery, accompanied by company-branded airstairs.

The aircraft is then pushed back from the stand, which is followed by the start of the gorgeous CFM56 engines. A camera view showcases the flap gauge once set in their takeoff position.

The 737-700 then backtracks and lines up runway 20R, without losing an inch of take-off distance. A blasting TOGA takeoff then follows, with the captain using the HUD for the departure.

With the sunset in the background, the gear retraction view leaves us all speechless.

The video suddenly shifts to the BCF cargo variant of the -700. In addition, there is a demonstration of the operation of the main cargo door.

Aside from that, the video provides a nice view of the flight deck. This goes from the depicted colourful overhead panel to the pedestal panel. The video also showcases both the Collins and the Honeywell MCPs. Other portrayed features are the analog standby instruments or even the engine start lever models. There are too many to describe!

A tiny section of the video covers the BBJ variant of the -700, allowing users to fly to exclusive airports such as Samedan.

The video ends with majestic scenes that don’t even require descriptive words…
