Known for their AI-infused air traffic control add-on, SayIntentions took to their site to release the newest addition to their SkyOps mission-based module. With the Aerial Firefighting update, virtual pilots can now take to the skies and battle blazing wildland infernos with the power of SayIntentions’ AI guiding them.
Not all heroes wear capes; some wear wings.
The announcement advertised the exciting news of a new addition to SkyOps and honoured the brave men and women who take to the skies to battle some of nature’s most dangerous disasters. SayIntentions also encouraged everyone to donate to the Red Cross to assist those affected by fires and disasters.
Flying under normal conditions carries inherent risk. However, flying a multi-ton aircraft filled with water at low altitude into smoke-filled hills requires a ton of concentration, nerves of steel, and a level of bravery that few possess. The pilots who take these risks are true heroes. Taking to the skies to battle wildfires in a virtual cockpit will probably be the closest many will come to battling an inferno racing across the landscape. However, this update by SayIntentions may motivate the next generations of pilots who are willing to put their lives on the line to help others.
What does this update to SkyOps offer?
Aerial Firefighting allows the user to fight fires from any airport in the game at any time. It features the full capability of the SkyOps system, offering full AI crew members and the dispatch system. The update supports the CL-415 Super-Scooper, Hype Performance Group’s H145, and any aircraft with a functioning liquid-drop system. According to SayIntentions’ announcement, the update only works with MSFS 2024. The MSFS 2020 compatibility is limited to Hype Performance Group’s H145 addon.
