SimWorks Studios has confirmed on their Discord server, that after three complete scratch builds and several delays, its Airvan project is now ready for release on August 21. The aircraft is “sitting in the cloud” awaiting launch, marking the end of a lengthy development cycle.
In the lead-up to release day, the team will take a short break, to recharge before returning for launch. During this time, there will be no news updates, support responses, or other communication from the studio.

Work has also been progressing on the 2024 version of the Airvan. This edition had fallen slightly behind its 2020 counterpart but is now nearly on par. Remaining tasks include a code cleanup, the addition of seat belts, and final testing.
For the PC-12, exterior model optimizations remain incomplete, but the NG cockpit has been cleaned up and prepared for integration with a newly developed cabin. The team’s goal is to complete the artwork first, as this will simplify future maintenance and upgrades once the unified model is in place. Flight model tweaks have reduced—but not entirely eliminated—the aircraft’s tendency to veer right in some cases. Further improvements are planned following the release break.

The Kodiak 100 and 900 models are already ready for the 2024 simulator version, with systems and avionics largely complete. They are next in line for updates after the Airvan release.
