TFDi Design smartCARS 3 and MD-11 Development Update

TFDi Design has recently taken to their official forums to share a development update addressing the upcoming smartCARS 3 and McDonnell Douglas MD-11 rendition for Prepar3D.

At first, an update has been provided on the smartCARS 3 progress. Based on the post, a new team member has enabled TFDi Design to immensely progress on the smartCARS 3 development. While if you want to fly for a virtual airline with smartCARS 2 you need to have one application for one virtual airline, smartCARS 3 will enable the user to use one application for multiple virtual airlines that can be selected in the login process.

The application dashboard has been as well completely overhauled. Four previews of the login page and the new dashboard can be seen below.

As you can see, smartCARS 3 is clearly starting to take traction and development is certainly well underway as we approach the end of 2020. We are hopeful that continued effort will pay off and a working version of the application will be ready in the near future, especially now the layout and design features are taking shape.

However, an expected release date of smartCARS 3 has not been shared.

At last, an update has been given on the currently developed MD-11 for Prepar3D. The FMS is based on the post almost fully functional.

The FMS will now respond just like the real aircraft, with behaviour replicated from the real aircraft based on community-submitted videos and manuals from the aircraft.

Great headway is also present in the hydraulic systems with ongoing development now visualising the reversible motor pumps providing power to system #1 after the shutdown of engine #1.
