Fenix Sim A320 Entering Beta Tomorrow

After a lengthier period of silence from the team, Aamir of Fenix Simulations has earlier today published a post on the official website detailing the progress made on the much-awaited Airbus A320 rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator in the past few weeks.

Foremost, the team has made the decision that it would be suitable for the addon to enter the beta stage. This will happen tomorrow, February 1st, 2022. Aamir has however stressed that while only minor updates and fixes are brought to the aircraft, the team still has a long way ahead.

Aamir then continued to explain that the team is trying to get the airplane to our hands as soon as possible:

Several members of our team are now working 7 days a week to see this project through these latter stages of testing as swiftly as possible, and in conjunction with the relatively sizable Beta team we have assembled, please rest assured that we are working to get this airplane in your hands as soon as possible.

Towards the end of the post, Aamir has stressed how much he appreciated the progress the team has made when he went for a walk around the aircraft on the stand just looking and listening to the aircraft.

The video of that can be seen below.

For those unfamiliar with the addon, Fenix Simulations is a rather new development studio in the community. Their A320 addon promises to bring the most complex and comprehensive simulation of the aircraft available for any desktop simulator. It is expected to be the first high-fidelity A320 rendition to be released for the Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We can expect it to feature detailed wear and tear textures on certain cockpit parts, small details like the ability to see individual pixels on the flight deck displays, or complete system simulation. The addon should, for example, fully simulate air mass.

Air mass will be reacting to user input and other variables, and move through the airplane. Every single valve, compressor, decompressor, pre-cooler, and cooler is going to be modelled. Everything from heat output from the passengers to metal in the seats will be simulated.
