Flight Replicas expands its portfolio of classic aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator with de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide. Another vintage gem in the collection is a 1930s British short-haul biplane airliner — now available exclusively through the MSFS Marketplace.

Unfortunately, the developer has not shared any technical information regarding the depth of the simulation or the scope of system modeling. Based on the Marketplace listing and available screenshots, the aircraft appears to have been retrofitted with some modern flight instruments and includes 14 liveries to choose from.

Originally introduced in 1934, the de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide was a plywood-constructed biplane, capable of carrying six to eight passengers on short regional flights, airmail and charters. It had a range of 556 miles, a maximum service ceiling of 16,000 feet and a top speed of 157 mph. During World War II, the aircraft also served with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy under the name de Havilland Dominie, primarily in transport as well as radio and navigation training roles. The liveries included with the aircraft covers both civilian and military variants.
