On Saturday, Raul and his team at FSReborn attended the Dublin Flight Sim Community meet-up to give attendees an exclusive preview of their ongoing Embraer Phenom 300E project, which is set to bring unique functionality that spans far beyond the cockpit for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
The presentation was extremely comprehensive and went in depth into the behind-the-scenes aspects of the aircraft’s development. It was an incredible opportunity for the developers to meet members of the community in person and present their aims in a way that reflected the needs of individual simmers. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session.

Bringing the FBO into MSFS2024
The aircraft will release with a completely unique scope of operations. Since the Phenom 300E is a business jet, Raul explained that he aims to create an experience that goes beyond a simple A-to-B flying. He wants to build around the full experience of piloting the aircraft, drawing on the knowledge and insights of real-world pilots. This includes the FBO, where passenger traffic and company briefings normally take place.
At the presentation, Raul mentioned:
“You can start feeling that you’re a real pilot of this private jet… so we try to bring everything, we’re not just releasing this aircraft, but the life that goes around it.”

The FBO building, which features a hangar, reception desk, passenger terminal and more, will include customisable elements. Raul showcased that users will be able to apply custom company logos that appear throughout the facility. These buildings can be placed at any airport the user chooses, helping each flight feel like an experience that extends beyond the cockpit, granting an experience that feels much like piloting the real aircraft.
Modelling & Sounds
The aircraft’s 3D model and textures use new techniques that take advantage of the level of detail supported by MSFS 2024. The entire galley area features clickable spots, including functional press doors, coffee machines and tables. The exterior model includes hatches accessible through the MSFS 2024 walkaround mode and features rain effects on all surfaces.

Systems
Raul and his team used their connections with real world pilots and Embraer to create highly realistic systems. This includes more than 300 electrical lines and relays, each with its own simulated amperage, and accurate behaviour of avionics fans and power distribution depending on aircraft state. In future this detailed approach will allow for simulation of individual failures across the systems’ network.

Raul mentioned a particular quirk of the Phenom: like many aircraft in its category, it doesn’t use Packs, which are independent units that rely on ram air to pressurize and cool the cabin. Instead, it employs a heat-exchanger system similar to that of a car, drawing warm air from the engine intake and mixing it with cooler air from the ram-air inlet. This means that if you’re on the ground in cold weather with the engines shut down, you won’t be able to warm the cabin, and vice-versa. All of this will be simulated once the aircraft is released.
The avionics are designed to be as close as possible to those in the real aircraft. They will include Navigraph chart integration and extensive functionality throughout the Phenom’s FMS suite, allowing pilots to perform all procedures in accordance with the real world flight manual. Other things that will be simulated in the aircraft include the autonomous pressurisation systems, fuel expansion due to temperature, load management and more.
Concluding Notes
Since the last time we heard about the aircraft during FSExpo 2025, when it was still in early alpha, the FSReborn team have made huge progress. The current planned release date is 2026. The aircraft is expected to enter early closed beta testing shortly, and when it’s released, it will feature exclusively on the MSFS 2024 Marketplace.
