Developer FSS, known for creating the E-Jets series and 727 add-ons for MSFS, took to the main stage of #FsExpoFriday to present multiple projects they are currently working on. One of the biggest announcements was the Super 27 expansion pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This new add-on will improve the existing FSS 727 passenger and freighter aircraft with new features. The developer also shared a sneak peek of their current work in the E-Jets custom FMS and other projects in the works.
Super 27 Expansion Pack
The FSS presentation started with a summary of the features currently available for the 727 freighter and passenger versions. They then proceeded to show a video of their brand new expansion pack for the 727. The Super 27 Expansion pack will bring new and modern features to the 727. This expansion will be available for both the passenger and freight variants for MSFS 2020 and 2024.
Some of the features packaged with this expansion were showcased in the video. You can expect new engine options, digital VSI with TCAS functionality, digital avionics, auto-spoilers, and much more. The Super 27 Expansion is currently in active development and is expected to be released sometime in late 2025. It was also revealed that the 727-100 variant will be in development sometime after they finish the Super 27 Expansion.
E-Jets
FSS continued their presentation by showcasing a new development build for the E-Jets. Similarly to the 727 expansion, they presented a video showcasing a new custom FMS for the E-Jets with LNAV functionality. This is the FSS001 version of their custom FMS, which is currently in the testing phase. The FSS002 with VNAV functionality will start development after the release of the first custom FMS, as depicted in their timeline.
Tecnam Aircraft for MSFS 2024
The developer ended its presentation by announcing new MSFS 2024 native versions of their Tecnam P2012 and P2006T. The new versions of these aircraft will bring features exclusive to MSFS 2024, like walkaround and default EFB. The P2012 has improved sounds, while the P2006T will boast an enhanced 3D model, textures, and flight dynamics.
