Further iFly 737 MAX Exterior Previews Shared

The developer iFly continues on their sharing streak and now via their Discord, the team shared more exterior previews of the upcoming 737 MAX for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, the developer did not preview the plane in its default livery, but rather in real-life liveries used by airlines across North America and Europe.

The first batch shows the 737 MAX with American Airlines livery departing Detroit Airport. The developer also mentions that there is no official paint kit ready for the aircraft, and the model and texture work is still work in progress.

The second batch of previews shows the TUI 737 MAX departing Edinburgh Airport. This repaint also features the aircraft’s air stairs model. This confirms that the plane will be highly customisable regarding equipment, as we could have noticed in the previous showcase, where the iFly team showed the two hydraulic systems available to be changed. This will especially add up to the realism of liveries available later in the life of this virtual 737 MAX recreation.

Lastly, the previews shown yesterday show the 737 MAX in Air Canada livery. In here, the developer also showed more details of the aircraft, like the openable radar cone, pitot tube covers on the fuselage and even external power compartment.

After the iFly team started showcasing the real liveries, the community started demanding various liveries for the aircraft. So far, there has been no reaction to this, and the developer didn’t confirm which liveries are going to come with the aircraft on release. Taking the Prepar3D release of 737 MAX into consideration, there should be a plethora of options, so everyone will be able to fly their favourite airlines.
