The developer Gaya Simulations has, after a long while announced the development of a new standalone scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This time, the developer is going to release this product under its own name, after working alongside Microsoft on World Update sceneries.

The team has announced this information through their Facebook page, showing some images of the upcoming scenery within the simulator engine. Corfu is a popular holiday destination among many Europeans, as well as a popular aviation geek destination for its challenging approach and close proximity to the city; thus, it is no surprise that the Gaya Simulations team has decided to create this scenery.

The mentioned screenshots show the overview of the Corfu Island, with some visible details, such as the hotel on top of the hill and a small port, next to the runway threshold. Furthermore, we can see the Monastery of Panayia, which was individually created, as well as the Nisos bar, also near the threshold.

This essentially means that the team is also focusing on minor details around the airport to ensure the best possible experience for virtual pilots. No further information about Gaya Simulations Corfu Airport (LGKR) has been shared. In addition, the team has confirmed that they are working on an updated version of Vienna Airport (LOWW), which should come right after the release of Corfu Airport.
