LatinVFR Releases Airbus A330-300 for Microsoft Flight Simulator

LatinVFR (LVFR), a developer known for its scenery & massive family of Airbus aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, has now released the Airbus A330-300 for MSFS. Available via the MSFS Marketplace in both MSFS (2020) and MSFS 2024, LVFR’s A330-300 is the company’s ninth aircraft release, and its third A330.

LVFR announced the release via their Facebook page and confirmed that the aircraft is now available in the in-sim Marketplaces of both Microsoft simulators for $29.49. The A330-300 advertises “basic to mid” customized avionics, including avionics built from scratch by LVFR. LVFR promises an expansive list of 43 custom liveries included with the aircraft, including Ibera, Thai, House liveries, and more. LVFR’s A330-300 boasts custom, high-resolution textures on detailed exterior and interior models sporting either General Electric, Rolls-Royce, or Pratt & Whitney engines.

In their post, LVFR stated that the A330-300’s “excellent” flight dynamics closely simulate those of the real aircraft. In addition, LatinVFR published the following A330-300 feature list:

LVFR’s Extensive Catalog

LatinVFR now publishes an immense catalog of Airbus aircraft for MSFS, from the “baby Bus” A318 to the modern and massive A330-900NEO. Though their products often receive mixed reviews, LVFR has been known to provide quick and frequent updates to the Airbus fleet. Ricardo of LVFR stated both on the Facebook post and in their support forum that an update for the A330-300 is already in the works, pledging to quickly rectify issues noticed by customers in the first days of availability.

LatinVFR has long been working on custom avionics to replace its reliance on Asobo’s avionics as the backbone of its fleet. The A340-300 was the first to receive LVFR’s updated avionics package, and since then, LVFR has been working on updating older aircraft as well as releasing new aircraft with further improvements. The A330-300 comes with LVFR’s newest avionics, with capabilities including VNAV, holding, and GPS approaches – though RNAV/RNP-AR approach capability is coming in a future update. A “legacy” version is also included in the package for customers more comfortable with Asobo’s systems.

LVFR’s Development Roadmap

In a forum post, LVFR stated that their next plan was to update avionics on all of their Airbus aircraft, beginning with the A340-300, followed by the A330-900. These avionics updates include throttle calibration for all aircraft. Following these updates, LVFR stated repeatedly on Facebook that they are hard at work on the Airbus A340-600.

Earlier in March, LatinVFR noted that work on their airport scenery has not stopped either. They stated that they remain committed to fixing issues with KBWI, KFLL, LEMD, and TJSJ and that all of their airports will become compatible with MSFS 2024. These compatibility updates have been steadily rolling out in Microsoft’s weekly Marketplace updates.
