Propair Flight, an independent software development studio that specializes in creating 3D aircraft and airport models, simulating aircraft systems, and developing flight training scenarios, has developed a modern simulator. The ZLIN 242L simulator will be used by the University of Public Service in Hungary to help trainee pilots in their journey to the skies.
Propair Flight’s Role in Flight Simulation
Known for past releases such as Kaunas and St. George Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Propair Flight has taken a step beyond flight simulation. In 2022, the developer acquired a Military Supplier License, which led them to start the implementation of a VR trainer for the Hungarian Air Force.

A New Simulator to Train Military Pilots in Hungary
The simulator’s primary goal is to help trainee pilots thoroughly understand the operation of the Zlin 242L trainer aircraft before real flight. This, besides offering a safe, realistic, and cost-effective set-up for learning the principles of aviation and navigation, not only simulates aircraft operation, but also other elements such as weather and unforeseen circumstances. Péter Késmárki, CEO of Propair Flight, declared:
”Our mission is to revolutionize aviation training with innovative, novel, and engaging products for both professional organizations and flight simulator enthusiasts. The professional-grade ZLIN 242L simulator we have developed will elevate the quality of pilot training at the University of Public Service, offering future Hungarian pilots an opportunity to enhance their learning experience with modern technology.”

Balázs Bojkó, Propair Flight’s Chief Technology Officer, is confident in the capabilities of the simulator in a wide variety of aspects, as he added:
”We are confident that Propair Flight’s ZLIN 242L simulator will be a crucial tool for the Hungarian Air Force, enhancing both ground and simulator-based pilot training. The simulator allows students to practice necessary manoeuvres and receive continuous feedback on their progress. Personalized training is made possible by integrated flight analysis systems, which monitor individual growth and assist in strengthening areas of weakness and establishing safe flying practices.”

Finally, Colonel Dr. Mátyás Palik, deputy dean for Military Aviation at the University of Public Service, emphasized how useful the simulator will be for trainee pilots, as he stated:
”This simulator is more than simply a tool; it is essential for boosting pilots’ self-assurance and readiness. The Hungarian Air Force’s pilot training system seamlessly incorporates Propair Flight’s recently released ZLIN 242L simulator. Pilots can use this program to gradually learn critical skills, making sure that every competency is fully reinforced.”
