The developer SkySimulations has updated their McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This update focuses on some issues in the career mode, weight and balance, the autopilot and many more.
The SkySimulations DC-9 is a retro jet engine airliner, available for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and MSFS 2024. The developer states that this is a state-of-the-art replica of the aircraft, with two different variants, the DC-9 10 and the DC-9 30, each coming in passenger and freighter versions. SkySimulations aims to improve its aircraft with the recent update.

According to the changelog, the team has adjusted some engine settings and improved weight and balance, which will now prevent the aircraft from randomly pitching up. The autopilot and the nose suspension got some upgrades as well. The weather radar no longer shows a blank screen, and fuel cut-off levers are now in the correct position when starting the aircraft in the cold and dark state.

The art has been adjusted, too. The strobe lights on the DC-9 10 are now functional. There are some changes done to the textures, and the rain direction has been improved, too. Glass effects have been added on windows in the interior.
