Well-known developer FlyJSim has taken to the X-Plane store to formally release their Dash-8 Q400 rendition for X-Plane 11. The Q4XP is the latest addition to FlyJSim’s product list. They have stated that this rendition is the most advanced in terms of realism.
Firstly, FlyJSim exclusively used 4K PBR textures to render the exterior model. Subsequently, this allows flight-simmers to get the ultimate visual experience. Unlike their Boeing 727 rendition, the Q4XP includes a fully functional aircraft cabin
Secondly, the modelled flight deck features detailed buttons and custom animations. A notable example is the modelled flagship UNS-1Ew FMS system. At this time, FlyJSim is the only developer to have accurately rendered this important feature. The developer also included an EFB called the “JPad”, giving simmers a more realistic GUI option of setting up the aircraft.
Another major strength of the addon is the implemented custom FMOD sounds. From the iconic PW150 engine noise to the button clicks, the implemented audio really elevates the realism of the model.
Finally, the aircraft comes out of the box with 18 different liveries. This gives any Q400 pilot a wide variety of routes to operate.
The full features list of the Q4XP is available on the store page of the aircraft.
The highly awaited aircraft is now available for purchase on the X-Plane store for a price of approx 69.15EUR.
If do you wish to have a sneak peek of what the Q4XPwill bring to your sim, here is the official release trailer of the aircraft:
A turboprop aircraft designed for shorter-distance flights, the Q400 is a polyvalent choice for airlines. The Q400 has a capacity of 68 to 90 passengers. Its maximum MTOW range of 1100 nautical miles allows airlines to serve destinations with smaller demands.
