GSX Teases Multi-Jetway Support for MSFS

FSDreamTeam previews multi-jetway support for GSX, enabling dual boarding bridges and enhanced realism in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

FSDreamTeam has released a new teaser showcasing upcoming multi-jetway functionality for GSX. In the preview video, two passenger boarding bridges can be seen connecting to a PMDG 777 at London Heathrow Airport, offering an early look at the upcoming feature.

The preview, shared by GSX developer Umberto Colapicchioni, demonstrates the feature using a PMDG Boeing 777 parked at London Heathrow Airport (EGLL). As shown in the teaser, two passenger boarding bridges can be operated independently and connected simultaneously to the aircraft, creating a ground handling setup that more closely resembles real-world airline operations.

Widebody aircraft frequently utilize more than one jetway during boarding and deboarding procedures. However, support for multiple operational jetways has remained relatively limited within Microsoft Flight Simulator, even when using detailed third-party airport scenery. The upcoming GSX enhancement appears to address this limitation by allowing multiple jetways to be managed directly through the GSX interface.

Based on the footage released so far, users will be able to activate and operate additional jetways through the existing GSX menu system. The teaser also shows the jetways correctly positioning themselves around the aircraft while maintaining realistic movement and alignment.

At the time of writing, FSDreamTeam has not provided further technical details regarding aircraft compatibility, airport requirements, release timing, or whether special airport profiles will be needed for the feature to function correctly. The teaser remains an early preview intended to demonstrate the capability rather than a complete feature presentation.

Even with the limited information currently available, the development represents a potentially significant improvement for long-haul and widebody operations. Aircraft such as the Boeing 777, 747, 787, Airbus A350, and A380 could benefit from more realistic passenger boarding procedures at major international airports. No release date has been announced yet, but the teaser provides an encouraging first look at a feature that could significantly improve widebody operations across the simulator.
