Imaginesim Considers Pre-Orders of Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Mentions Release Timeframe

Industry stalwart Imaginesim have recently released an update regarding their keenly-anticipated Dallas/Fort Worth Airport (KDFW) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.

What is expected to be a very expansive upcoming release was initially teased in some screenshots by the developer last February. Since then, they have regularly updated followers with details of the airport ramp areas, the terminals, hand-crafted textures, and even custom animations. Several of which we have reported on previously. The community response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic, leading to lots of talk about the project, particularly in the last few months.

Imaginesim today (17th January 2025) posted a post via their Facebook page asking for feedback on the idea of a pre-order system. This would allow early purchasers to receive the product immediately upon completion of the beta testing. Those who would not pre-order would have to wait until the whole release process is finished.

The developers mentioned that they anticipate the beta testing to end in Q1 of 2025, whilst the final release is anticipated in Q2 of 2025. This means that those who pre-order could get the scenery over two months in advance.

The community was not silent, and a significant majority replied to the post that they would like to pre-order the scenery.

Imaginesim are well known for their Atlanta and Singapore sceneries with enthusiasts looking forward to the same levels of quality and immersion found in the upcoming Dallas/Fort Worth Airport (KDFW). Although they haven’t given an estimation of when pre-orders will be available, should they decide to go ahead, the post seems to suggest it could be soon.
