PMDG Shares New Information About the 777F Coming to MSFS and Announces New Updates for the 737

Robert Randazzo from PMDG took once again to their forums to share new information about their add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The main focus of this forum post is regarding the PMDG 777 series of add-ons. The next version of this aircraft, the 777 Freighter (777F), is about to enter the beta phase of development. Robert also shared the first image of the 777F inside the simulator.

This forum post also announced that the 777-300ER is now available in the MSFS marketplace for PC and Xbox users. New updates have also been confirmed to be in the works by PMDG for their 737 add-ons for MSFS. This month also marks the birthday of PMDG as a company, turning 27 years old.

The PMDG 777F is Near Finished

In this forum post, Robert has announced that the development team is almost done working on the next addition to their 777 line of add-ons. The 777 Freighter is the next variation of the 777 scheduled to be released for MSFS. The 777F is being prepared to enter beta testing soon. Similar to the previous 777, they have added multiple features to this new add-on. According to PMDG, these features will ensure that pilots have a great experience in command of this popular cargo aircraft.

This new information regarding the 777F also came with the first image of this aircraft inside the simulator. This image showcases the exterior model of the 777F in a PMDG House Livery on the ground. Only this picture of the exterior model was shared in this post.

777-300ER is Now Available in the MSFS Marketplace

A few months after release, the PMDG 777-300ER is now available for purchase at the MSFS Marketplace for both PC and Xbox. Originally this add-on was only available for PC users and could only be bought in PMDG’s web store. PMDG is happy to bring one of their biggest add-ons to Xbox users. This new addition gives MSFS Marketplace users access to all current PMDG aircraft add-ons available for MSFS.

Alongside the aircraft, liveries will also be available to be purchased in the marketplace for the 777-300ER. PMDG is working with Microsoft to release these liveries at a special price. These liveries are expected to be released on the 15th of August 2024 or even earlier. If you acquire this aircraft from the Marketplace on PC, you can still download free liveries from the PMDG Operations Center according to this forum post by PMDG.

New Updates Coming for the PMDG 737

PMDG has announced in this forum post that new updates will arrive for their 737 add-ons. A new build of the 737 will be entering the test phase soon. This build will focus on bringing more fixes related to the aircraft’s “freeze” bugs. This update is scheduled to be released on the 3rd week of August after the tests are completed.

Alongside the 777F beta tests, PMDG has scheduled the new navdata functionality for the 737 to be pushed into beta testing. This new navdata feature could be released by September but this can change. At the same time, the development team will start working on bringing new features to the 737 tablet. These tablet changes will come in small patches instead of releasing everything in a major update. After all these changes are implemented, the 737 will be out of the “early adopter” phase. This move will bring a price increase to the PMDG 737 add-on.

Happy Birthday PMDG!

To conclude this forum post, Robert remarked that PMDG is turning 27 years old. To celebrate this milestone they are running a special sale this weekend on their web store. Robert summarizes in the post some of the achievements made by PMDG during all these years. PMDG to this day has released 62 products for flight simulators and multiple updates and liveries for their add-ons.
