Orbx’s CEO, Anna Cicognani has taken to the Orbx forums to share the current compatibility list of add-ons that are now working on the recently released Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Troubles With MSFS2024 Marketplace
The development team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s Marketplace release all MSFS2020 products without checking for compatibility. The PMDG team and Parallel 42 have already confirmed this, and Orbx now follows the disagreement with Microsoft’s procedure.
Thus, the Orbx team is in the process of updating their products, and so will the partnered developers. The forum thread we are covering in this article is going to be constantly updated.
Officially Tested and Compatible Products
The Orbx team has already checked and updated some of their sceneries. So far, this includes the following sceneries:
- Key West Airport (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- West Virginia International Airport (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- San Jose International Airport (FS2024 version available)
- Landmarks Singapore (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- Landmarks Dubai (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- Landmarks Melbourne (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- Landmarks Adelaide (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)

- Graz Airport (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- Bern Airport (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
- Essendon Airport (FS2020 version compatible with FS2024)
Moving to Orbx’s partners, Axonos’s working sceneries are Jackson Hole Airport, Palm Springs Airport, Richmond International Airport and Perth International Airport.
The BurningBlueDesign team has already confirmed compatibility on a majority of their sceneries, and some already have their own standalone variant for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This includes Compton Abbas Airfield, Sandown Airport, as well as Thurrock Airfield.
Moving to the CowanSimulations’ Aircraft, we can see most of their products to be tested and working fine in the new simulator, including the popular Robinson R22 and Robinson R66, as well as the Airbus H130.
Speaking of COWS and their popular DA42, that is already updated and you will see an article from us about the update soon.
CloudSurfAsia sceneries have been tested and the Flight Simulator 2020 versions of their sceneries, like Puerto Princesa and Manila International Airport are working in the new simulator.
Flying Fries have updated their XF-11 for Flight Simulator 2024. FSim Studios did so with their Halifax, Calgary and Winnipeg airport sceneries.
MK Studios works hard on bringing their products to the new simulator, and airports like Naha, Lisbon, Barcelona, LaGuardia and Keflavik already have standalone versions for MSFS2024.
MM Simulations’ products are currently only backwards compatible, and so are MXI Design products and NetDesign’s Boumediene Airport.
NZA Simulations, known for their New Zealand sceneries have updated most of their portfolio to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Thus, popular destinations like Christchurch, Nelson, Hobart and the required model library have standalone versions. The same applies to Passenger2 Pro by Passenger2.
SamScene3D and their well-known landmarks currently have only two functional products according to the list. This includes Bogota city landmarks, which has its own standalone FS2024 version already, and the USA Modern Cities Vol. 1 pack.
The SLHSimulations team has so far only updated their John A Osborne Airport and it has its standalone version for the new simulator. The rest of their products are backwards compatible.
SuperSonic’s Bari and Brindisi are compatible, and so are TaiModels’ Cairo, Manchester and Cairns.
Lastly, VerticalSim’s mostly regional American sceneries are functional in the new simulator. The same applies to the Asian developer WF Scenery Studio.
This is the status of the Orbx Forums post by their CEO as of 25th of November, 2024 at 19:38 UTC. The post is going to be constantly updated and the final list is not going to be accurately resembled by this article.
